Welcome to Monza Pizzeria

1934 Ocean Ave, San Francisco, CA 94127, United States

General Info

A visit to Monza Pizzeria feels like stepping into a neighborhood pizza restaurant where the focus is simple: good food, a relaxed atmosphere, and a menu that delivers exactly what pizza lovers expect. Located along Ocean Avenue, this pizza spot is easy to find and even easier to enjoy, especially if you’re looking for a casual meal in San Francisco.

From the moment I walked in, the place had the kind of laid-back diner vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. The layout is straightforward and welcoming, and the wheelchair accessible entrance and wheelchair accessible seating make the dining space comfortable for a wide range of guests. Whether you’re grabbing dinner with friends or stopping by for a quick bite, the setting feels approachable and practical.

Of course, the real highlight here is the menu. Pizza is clearly the star, and the variety makes it easy to find something satisfying. The Hawaiian Pizza offers that classic sweet-and-savory balance, while the Pepperoni Pizza delivers exactly what you expect from a dependable favorite-crispy edges, melted cheese, and plenty of flavor. For anyone craving something heartier, the All Meat Pizza stands out as a filling option loaded with bold, savory toppings.

Beyond pizza, there are a few extras that round out the experience nicely. The Chef Salad is a refreshing option if you want something lighter alongside your slice, and the Fried Mozzarella Sticks make a perfect starter. They come out hot and crispy, and they pair well with just about anything on the table.

Service here is straightforward and convenient. If you’re short on time, takeout is available, which makes it easy to enjoy the food at home or on the go. When dining in, it’s nice to see simple additions like beer on the menu to complement the meal, and dessert options give you a reason to linger a little longer after finishing your pizza.

What stood out most during my visit was how comfortable the experience felt overall. The restaurant focuses on doing the essentials well-solid pizza, approachable menu choices, and practical services that make dining easy. It’s the kind of place locals often appreciate because it’s reliable, casual, and consistently satisfying.

For anyone exploring food spots around Ocean Avenue, Monza Pizzeria fits naturally into the mix of neighborhood dining locations. It’s a pizza restaurant that keeps things simple, offering familiar dishes, easy service options, and a menu that delivers the kind of comfort food people return for again and again. Reviews often reflect that same sentiment: straightforward, enjoyable, and exactly what you hope for when you’re in the mood for pizza.

“ We got a late night pizza here and it really hit the spot. Generous toppings, reasonable price, super friendly staff, and basically we annihilated that thing in minutes. ”

“ Very nice staff! Good prices for pizza these days! And a bunch of different customization! ”

“ 2 GINORMOUS DELICIOUS SLICES and a glass bottle of Coca Cola for $13-14 (tip included !). It's a no-brainer ! The place is clean and nice people work there. This will be one of my "Goto" places in SF ! ”

- SkyNet -

“ Service here is wonderful. I came with a child and they even offered to cut up the food in little pieces and did so. Prices are fantastic for the area. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a slice or pie. ”

- Julia Moore -

“ I ordered a small pizza for three people. This is my favorite pizza place. The pizza tastes so good, unlike the corporate pizza. Every time I come here, the pizza is perfect, cheesy, delicious, favorable, hot, etc. They're not stingy with toppings, especially with cheese. I gave it four stars because I'm not sure if the people wash their hands when making food lol next time, I will pay more attention and write a follow-up review. This location has a customer restroom which is a bonus! This location is decent and clean. ”

“ Favorite pizza spot in the area! Their cheese pizza is so delicious, always fresh and in a very inviting atmosphere. ”

- Lena -

“ Sigh... This is why it will take me years to become vegan. The pizza slices are huge and extremely nice, crust is fluffy, flavor is spot on. Enjoyed! ”

- Sagar Patwardhan -

“ Monza is my favorite pizza shop now. The Green Pizza is SO good, and I love their coxinha. They often deliver earlier than expected, and they’re very warm and friendly people, too. I can’t speak for dining in since I always get delivery, but I can’t recommend them highly enough. (Pictured here is a “slice” of the Green Pizza) *Note: the “Deep Dish” pizza isn’t Chicago deep dish, it’s more like stuffed crust pizza. I’d recommend sticking to their regular pizzas. ”
